EDUCATING FOR SUCCESS

Welcome to Lawrenceburg High, home of the Tigers! With a proud tradition of community involvement and academic excellence, our school serves ninth through twelfth grade students from Dearborn County in southeast Indiana.

We are a CELL-endorsed Early College High School with strong partnerships with Vincennes University and Ivy Tech. Our students have the opportunity to earn Associate's Degrees, Indiana College Core (ICC) Certificates, and various industry certifications. We provide brand new, state-of-the-art classrooms and labs to enhance the learning experience.

Our sports facilities are all new and top-notch. We offer a turf multipurpose football and soccer field, a natural grass soccer field, a brand new track, turf baseball and softball fields, a large modern gymnasium, and a beautiful state-of-the-art weight room.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL

I continue to be excited about the school year. We work hard to create student centered schedules, address career plans, provide summer activities, and are prepared to create experiences for an exciting school year. In each case, there is a gleam of anticipation and a desire to discover the next step in each student's educational journey. We hope students' are as excited for a great school year as our enthusiastic school staff.

Lawrenceburg High School offers a wide array of options. Not only do we have the highly successful Early College Program, but we are also in our eighth year of commitment to the JAG (Jobs for America’s Graduates) Program. We have career pathways taught through Vincennes University, Ivy Tech, Southeast Career Center, and our own highly qualified LHS staff. We believe we have something for every student, including excellent college preparation, career exploration, career training, and guidance towards all aspects of life after high school. We have a robust Work Based Learning program to provide students with a head start to pursuing their passions, exposure to potential careers, and provide hands-on experiences for learning.

At Lawrenceburg High School we care about each individual student, and strive to provide support and guidance for the whole child. Our school culture is centered around our core values, defined in our Portrait of a Graduate, and modeled as The Tiger Way. This is accomplished through our Tiger Market, HOPE Squad, on site INCompass Counselor, MTSS program, scholarship programs, individual scheduling, and personally prescribed educational pathways.

As always, we are here for the students and parents. I want to hear from you if you have questions or suggestions. Our community is strong and will become stronger with communication and a positive approach to improving for the betterment of all students. Let’s work as a team.

Yours in education,

Jared Leiker, Principal
Lawrenceburg High School
