OUR SCHOOL
As part of the Lawrenceburg Community School Corporation, Greendale Middle School serves 6–8th grade students from the communities of Greendale and Lawrenceburg, Indiana. We are committed to providing our students with a safe, positive, and challenging educational environment where they can excel in life and learning.
OUR MISSION
Greendale Middle School is devoted to the academic success of our students. We strive to ensure every student receives the tools and resources necessary to become responsible, productive members of society.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
We believe every child has a built-in capacity for success, but we also know that their success can only be realized through the diligence and support of caring adults. It is our intention to partner with the families and community of Lawrenceburg to provide our students with valuable curricular and extracurricular experiences that will help them grow both academically and socially, encourage them in their career interests, and develop confidence in their own abilities.
OUR CURRICULUM
We are committed to providing high quality instruction to each of our students, from the low-achieving to the high performing and everyone in between. Thus, we have implemented a strategy known as Response to Intervention (RTI) throughout our school. This framework utilizes our existing, state approved standards and lays the foundation for student achievement in reading, math, science, and social studies by offering students a thorough and systematic approach to learning and necessary interventions.
We also recognize the importance of classical studies and offer our students opportunities for development in the fine and technical arts, world languages, and physical education. If you would like more specific information about what your child will be learning at Greendale, please visit our district website for an overview or give us a call.
